CALIFORNIA SENIOR AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP REGISTRATION INFORMATION
35th CALIFORNIA SENIOR AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP

November 9 - 11, 2026
All participants must have: 1) an active SCGA Membership or NCGA Membership and 2) a Golf Genius profile to register.
The California Senior Amateur is an official USGA Exemption Event. The Champion will earn an automatic exemption into the 2027 U.S. Senior Open Final Qualifying.
CHAMPIONSHIP FORMAT:
54 holes; stroke play.
84 players, comprised of exempt players and qualifiers, will compete in the championship.
Monday, November 9: Round 1 (18 holes).
Tuesday, November 10: Round 2 (18 holes).
Following the second round, the field will be cut to the low 30 players and ties.
Wednesday, November 11: Round 3 (18 holes).
All non-exempt players will participate in an 18-hole, stroke-play qualifying round. Qualifying is available statewide for NCGA and SCGA Players. (Players may only attempt to qualify once.)

NORTHERN CALIFORNIA QUALIFYING DATES & SITES:
Thursday, October 15: Baylands GL, Palo Alto
Monday, October 19: Poppy Ridge GC, Livermore
ELIGIBILITY: This championship is open to amateur golfers who are members of a current NCGA or SCGA member club with a Handicap Index of 7.4 or less at the time of registration. Entrants must have reached their 55th birthday by November 2, 2026.
EXEMPTIONS: All exempt players must still meet eligibility requirements and register online for the championship before the entry closing date. The current list of exemptions can be found online by clicking here.
ENTRIES OPEN: Wednesday, January 7, 2026
ENTRY DEADLINE: Sunday, September 27, 2026
QUALIFYING ENTRY FEE: $175
EXEMPT PLAYER ENTRY FEE: $250
INFORMATION & PAIRINGS: Complete tournament details, including information about practice rounds, pairings, starting times, and yardages played, will be emailed and posted online after entries close.
LATE ENTRIES: Late entries will be accepted, assuming space is still available at the given event. Late entries will be subject to an additional $20 fee and can only be processed over the phone or through email.
REFUND POLICY: Requests for refunds before the entry closing date will be honored less a $20 administrative fee. Requests received after the entry closing date and 48 hours before the event will be honored less 50% of the entry fee. No refunds will be honored within 48 hours of the event.
